Format Windows Xp! A Step By Step Guide

Before you continue, make sure you have backup of all documents you may need that are saved in C:, My Documents folder or your desktop.

  • Step 1- Installation CD Insert your Windows XP installation disc into your CD or DVD drive.
  • Step 2 – Restart your computer and start Windows setup using Microsoft Windows bootable XP disk
  • Restart your computer. As you computer boots, a screen with message “Press any key to boot from CD..” will show up counting from 9 to 0, here you need to press any key to start the setup. Note: If your computer doesn’t display the “Press any key to boot from CD..” message (by default it should), check your motherboard manual for info where to enable the “Boot from CD” setting, after you enable “Boot from CD” option from your BIOS, the message will show.
  • Step 3 – System Loading
    After you enter the setup, the CD will load up a blue screen and will start loading operating system files (this make take few minutes). When it finishes, it will list a few options, “Press ENTER to set up Windows XP now” is the one we need. Click it.
  • Step 4 – Accept Windows usage agreement
    Second screen is “The windows usage agreement”. It should be displayed now, showing that you need to press F8 to accept the agreement. Press F8 to accept. How to format a computer
  • Step 5 – Setup start
    If an existing Windows XP installation is detected by the system, you are prompted to repair it. We will bypass this step
  • Step 6 – Delete old partition and format
    At this point you need to select the partition where you prefer to install Windows Xp. This is where you will delete your partition and format drive C. The box in the lower half of the screen shows all your drives and the partitions that currently exist on your hard disk. Use the Up and Down Arrow keys to highlight/select your “C:” partition and press the “D” key (pic 6.1). On the next screen press the ‘L’ key (pic 6.2) to confirm that you want to delete partition “C:”, and finalize the deleting of the partition. (if you have only “Unpartitioned space” and you have no C: or D: partitions, skip this step) How to format a computer
  • Step 7 – Create installation partition
    Now you should be back on the screen prompted to choose where to install Windows. The box on the lower half of the screen should no longer show a partition, instead of “C:” you should see “Unpartitioned space xxxxxMB”. Select/highlight this with the arrow keys and press the “C” key to create a partition on the drive (this is where you will install windows). Now setup tells you the minimum and maximum sizes the partition can use and lets you pick the size. The default size is the maximum available, leave the default value and press Enter.
  • Step 8 – Format the computer (the hard disk)
    This screen lets you choose the file system you prefer the drive to be formatted with. Choose NTFS “Quick” (recommended because NTFS is faster and more secure). Use the arrow keys to select and hit Enter. How to format a computer
  • Step 9 – Start Windows XP Setup Setup will start to and will auto-format the “C:” partition, and start with Windows XP installation. From here you are all set and the installation of Windows will proceed. This will take a while. The computer will reboot several times, and will continue with installation. Don’t remove the Windows XP setup CD, and don’t press a key when prompted (we already did that).

So, now i have got a trick to hide files in image files !!!

Here it is :
** You require WinRAR installed on your PC for this trick.
** First add your files to .rar and i.e. say files.rar
** Say you have a image as img.jpg
** Now, save files.rar and img.jpg in c:\ drive.
** Click start >> Run
** Type cmd
** Now in command prompt type cd..
** Again type cd..
** Type copy /b img.jpg + files.rar new.jpg

-------------- Please Note --------------

>> This command will concatenate the two files into the new file new.jpg
>> Don't type files.rar + img.jpg instead of img.jpg + files.rar.
>> Now, (size of new.jpg) = (size of img.jpg) + (size of files.rar) .

Now, we have new.jpg consisting of both img.jpg and files.rar .

Accessing the files :

** Double click new.jpg and img.jpg can be viewed.

Procedure :
1. Make a folder on the desktop and name it as "folder"
2. Now, open notepad and write ren folder folder.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} and now (Notepad Menu) File>save as.
3. In the 'save as' name it as lock.bat and click save ! (Save it on Desktop)
4. Now, again open notepad again and write ren folder.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} folder and now (Notepad Menu) File>save as.
5. In the 'save as' name it as key.bat and click save ! (Save it on Desktop)
6. Now, double click lock.bat to lock the folder and now if you open your folder, control panel will open up !
7. Now, double click key.bat to open the folder and now if you open your folder, you can access your data inside the folder again !
8. Lock your folder and hide the key.bat somewhere else on your hard disk !
9. Whenever you want to open your folder just paste the key.bat on desktop and open your folder using it !

If all you do with your Android phone or tablet’s keyboard is tap out words, you are missing a lot of great features. There’s more to learn about a keyboard than you might expect.
Of course, you can just type out words without paying attention to any of these features — but mastering them will help you type faster and save time while entering text.

Voice Typing

If your hands aren’t free — or you just feel like dictating — you can tap the microphone button on the keyboard and enter words just by speaking them.
This feature sends your voice input to Google’s speech recognition service, where it’s examined, converted to text, and sent back to your phone. This means that it requires an Internet connection, but the approach of using Google’s massive computing power makes it surprisingly accurate.
To enter punctuation marks while using voice recognition, just say “period,” “comma,” “question mark,” “exclamation mark,” or “exclamation point.” Android will enter the appropriate punctuation mark instead of the words.

Offline Voice Typing

If you’re using Android 4.2 or a newer version of Android, you can now use voice typing offline. You’ll just need to install the appropriate voice-recognition language dictionaries. Note that voice recognition is slightly less accurate in offline mode.
To install the dictionaries, open the Settings screen, tap Language & input, and tap the settings button to the right of Google voice typing.
Download the languages you want to use offline from the Offline Speech Recognition screen.

Swipe to Type

The default keyboard in Android 4.2 gained the ability to type words simply by swiping your finger over them.
To type a word by swiping, simply touch the first letter and glide your finger over the letters — for example, to type Geek, touch the G, move your finger to the E, and then move your finger to the K. Android will try to guess what you’re typing, displaying it above the keyboard. Lift your finger and the word will be typed. You can do this to type many words in sequence quickly, lifting your finger from the screen in between each one.

Word Prediction and Auto-correction

When tapping in a word, Android 4.2′s keyboard will try to think ahead and guess the word you’re about to type. For example, type Messa and  “Message” will appear above the keyboard. You can then tap the space bar to move to the next word and Android will automatically fill in the rest of the word it’s expecting you to type.
The keyboard will even use context to guess which word you’re likely to type, even if you haven’t started typing a word yet. Tap one of the suggestions to type it.

Keyboard Settings

You can customize your keyboard’s behavior, too. Open the Settings screen, tap Language & input, and tap the settings button to the right of the Android keyboard.
The keyboard settings screen contains options for disabling features like swiping, auto-correction, auto-capitalization, and next-word suggestions. You can also make auto-correction even more aggressive or switch to other keyboard layouts, like the French QWERTZ layout.

TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL (TCP):
TCP takes large blocks of information from an application and
breaks them into segments. It numbers and sequences each
segment so that the destinations TCP protocol can put the
segments back into the order the application intended.
After these segments are sent, TCP (on the transmitting host)
waits for an acknowledgement of the receiving ends TCP virtual
circuit session, retransmitting those that are not acknowledged.

Before a transmitting host starts to send segments down the model,
the senders TCP protocol contacts the destinations TCP protocol
to estasblish a connection. What is created is known as a virtual
circuit. During this initial handshake, the two TCP Layers also
agree on the amount of inforamtion that is going to be sent before
the recipients TCP sends back an acknowledgement. With everything
agreed upon in advance, the path is paved for reliable communication
to take place.

Linux offers the ability to act as both firewall and router for 
multiple computers. You can easily set this up using iptables. 

Execute the following commands on your Linux box. This example assumes 
that eth0 is the network interface connected to the cable or DSL modem.

# modprobe ip_conntrack_ftp 
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

Of course, this is greatly simplified; it's just the basics to get you 
up and running quickly. 

Keep in mind that it doesn't matter what systems you're running on your 
network, be it Windows, Macs, or other Linux systems. All you need to 
do is tell those clients to use this Linux machine as the gateway.

How to "Delete administrator Password" without any software

Boot up with DOS and delete the sam.exe and sam.log files from Windows\system32\config in your hard drive. Now when you boot up in NT the password on your built-in administrator account which will be blank (i.e No password). This solution works only if your hard drive is FAT kind.

Step 1. Put your hard disk of your computer in any other pc .Step 2. Boot that computer and use your hard disk as a secondary hard disk (D'nt boot as primary hard disk ).Step 3. Then open that drive in which the victim’s window(or your window) is installed.Step 4. Go to location windows->system32->configStep 5. And delete SAM.exe and SAM.log 
Step 6. Now remove hard disk and put in your computer.
Step 7. And boot your computer :-)

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows Vista.
  1. Start, Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.
  2. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
  3. Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
  4. Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
  5. Reboot the machine.
Reinstall network/modem Driver

Uninstall the network/modem driver from Device Manager: select the items and hit Delete. Reboot.

Anti Virus and Firewall Software
Installation or Removal of Anti Virus or Firewall product can prevent the network devices from getting an IP.

Surface Pro Sales Reach 400,000 in Only a Month


Since its launch, the Surface tablet from Microsoft has reached 400,000 sales, which isn't a bad start for a tablet that is definitely on the pricey side with an $899 price tag. What's even more impressive is that this tablet only launched a month ago. According to IDC Analyst Bob O'Donnell, "That's a respectable number and it leads me to believe that Surface Pro will end up outselling Surface RT."

O'Donnell is, of course, referring to the RT version of the Surface tablet, which is slightly less expensive at $499, though isn't compatible with older Windows software. "It's something that we've predicated all along because of the compatibility that Surface Pro offers," O'Donnell added. Overall, Microsoft has sold nearly 1.5 million Surface devices, including both Pro and RT versions, and was announced only three months ago.

Even though the RT version sold out initially, Microsoft was surprisingly able to keep up with demand quickly. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case with the Pro. The high-end, 128GB Pro version of Surface has been continuously sold out since it was released on February 9. This model of the Surface tablet has only recently become readily available in the last week or so.

Regardless, the numbers being put up by the Pro are nothing compared to that of Apple's iPad. Apple sold more than 20 million iPads in the quarter ending in December, though Apple has been in this market substantially longer than Microsoft has and has also had time to fine tune its device. However, like Surface RT, the 9.7" Retina iPad starts at $499 while the iPad Mini is even cheaper at $329.

The trick with the Surface is that it puts a conventional, mainstream laptop into a 2 lb, 0.5" thick tablet. The Pro version comes with a 10.6" 1,920 x 1,080 full HD resolution display, Intel Ivy Bridge processor, 4GB of memory and a full-fledged solid-state drive, which is exponentially faster than the flash drives found in Apple and Android tablets.

Nonetheless, the numbers posted by Microsoft are impressive, especially considering the lackluster reviews that Windows 8 has been receiving. Windows 8 is the operating system that the Surface uses, though the OS has clearly been designed for use on touchscreen devices. It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers this tablet will post in the coming months.
